CAPS India '07
CAPS India COMMITTEE OeI~~~

Really can't imagine that the whole CAPS India expedition is finally over just like that. Thinking back about the OMP we had during the every recce, it's feels just like yesterday. Well, happy moments will always come and go so let's not regret the time we all spent at Pengerang especially.

A Special THANK-YOU to all the committee members who have been working really hard for this whole expedition. Hope you all have learnt something from this whole caps and hope that in time to come, you all will not regret that you have devoted yourself for this whole caps.

For now, take a good night SLEEP and that's what i guess everyone of you have been wanting to do so. We shall see each other again soon during CAPS RELOADED i guess. And really, Thanks again for all the sweat and time put in for this whole caps. you people simply rocks~

This is the list of people who are going on the 1oth Sept, Monday.
Since there are 2 more slots, any of you from each department who still has things to clear up please put your name down or tell me.

Meeting time will be 8.30am at Tanah Merah Control Station.
Please bring both SGD & RM. $8 to get a boat ride to Pengerang. Please bring a list of what you have to do because from this trip, we will confirm the activities, food list and any other relevant stuffs that we have to do. Please make sure it is done as CAPS INDIA is one week right after this trip. This week will be the most crucial and if you do have meetings, please turn up even if you have trainings on the same day. Its just one more week. Let's strive for just a while more. Thank you.

11th SEPTEMBER 2007, TUESDAY
CAPS COMMITTEE HEADS MEETING

Alright. This meeting is only for the heads of each department only. On this day, we will go through the recce on Monday, to clear any doubts that we have. We will also go through the programme list to make sure it runs smoothly.
We will also check for every single item and make sure it is bought and accounted for.
As the next day will be the briefing for ALL those going for CAPS INDIA, i would want to see the slides up by Tuesday as well. We will discuss on what we will be presenting about on Wednesday's official briefing.
The meeting will start about 11am and end around 4pm.
ALL heads are required.
This meeting is compulsory and no excuses will be entertained.

HEY
Hope the recce went well. Heard you guys got stranded.
Wasn't that bad was it? Anyway.I hope most of the stuffs have been completed.
If not, please tell me on msn.
The taxi and boat rides will be covered by the school on monday.
So if you guys have anymore left to complete, it must be done by then.

Do update me if you guys need anything else!

And one last thing. Do submit your 'To-Buy' list to Alphonsus by this Sunday. He will be going down to get the stuffs probably from beach road.So you guys can either follow him or give him a list. If the List comes later than sunday, you guys gotta go get it done yourselves!

go check out the premises and facilities around and see what your department requires of the area.
For example, ACs need to check the area if they can use it for their games, ELs and LOG for beach up points etc.

MEETING ON MONDAY INSTEAD
Alright. The last post, forget about it.
Meeting will be postponed to,

DAY:MONDAY
DATE: 3rd SEPTEMBER 2007
TIME: 10am
VENUE: Snack Bar

Right now, here's a list of things you guys HAVE TO DO.
By the meeting next week,
ALL THESE HAVE TO BE CONFIRMED.
I want to see it completed asap.
It's a long list so listen up well!

Expedition Leaders
-Ensure location of launch off point.
-Equipment list of items needed
-Speed boat to be available for expedition
- Where/how to raft up at Malaysian customs. Appoint someone in charge of each lot so there will not be any confusion.
-Come up with landmarks as identification for rowers to hit, so as to create some sort of motivation/target to reach it and then move on again.
-Assignment of rowers to each kayak – One strong one weak, not necessarily must be girl/girl guy/guy. Mix both juniors and seniors together.

Creative Advisers
-T-shirt design and contacts
-Price of T-shirt
-To be presented before or after camp
-Camera and Video Camera

Secretary
-Work with all departments to get prices of every item
-Collate overall prices
-Collect money from members and tally it with participant list
-Take minutes for every single meeting and upload main points to gmail/blog


Logistics
-Check for boats from schools
-Work with ELs to get boats
-Check conditions of EACH boat, ensure there are buoyancies, decklines, no cracks on the sides etc.
-Create a list of Serial numbers for boats
-Get list from each department to see what they require
-
Transportation of boats from kallang to launch off point– Lorry

Food and Beverage
-Menu (Food must be easy to cook and available in whole quantities eg. Fried rice, noodles etc)
-Food list and prices
-Ice boxes to store food
-Food testing
-Back up plans for emergencies (Loss of food, Not enough)


Activity Coordinators
-Final games list
-Final programme list
-Equipment needed (If any)
- Wet weather programme. In case bad weather does not permit outdoor games, other activities have to be planned.
-List of DVDs/games/entertainment stuff for Rest and Relax time

-Groupings of members

Alright. I know there are alot of things on the list but i know you guys can do it,
and it will be done.
The expedition will be coming real soon, and i'm sure we want it to be a success.
I want everybody to be in on this and department heads, please include your members in the deicision making and assign them to help you. For those who know that you are not helping much, please take the initiative to. It is not easy handling the workload, Especially the ELs and Logistics because you guys have to work together.
If you do not have their emails, ask me, Lionel or any advisers.

Try your best to get the above done and if you need any help or any questions to ask, please approach us.
